CrazyBrains That's a shame it's not on the app yet, although Aldi have said it will be available at all their stores so hopefully it will be added soon www.aldipresscentre.co.uk/business-news/aldi-launches-too-good-to-go-partnership-across-all-uk-stores/

HelenKnight totally disagree, as we are pensioners, we like most folks, are counting the pennies, and these bags contain really good wholesome fresh food.....maybe you should be looking for the Kentucky one, or Maccy D's, and I've never had a bag with fish chicken and salad, I definitely wouldn't be moaning over healthy food!! Oops, that's right, they're not allowed to put alcohol in the Too Good To Go bags, maybe you're not shopping for the same reason most of us are!!!

Thanks for sharing this brilliant deal from Aldi.....Too Good to Go are an excellent company with loads of different companies getting involved with doing these.....We get these deals 4 times a month.....We have a Gregg's, which is £2.29 and we always get approx £17 worth, Morrisons which is £3.99 for approx £14 worth, Co-op £3.99 which is roughly £16, and then M & S, £3.49 or £4.49, worth £18 or £22 (this is the one everyone goes for, so feel lucky if we get one).....free to sign up, no commitments, just pay by card when choosing which shop you like......Enjoy !!

saani unless they are vegan only shop you don't get that choice. It's literally stuff they have to get rid of by law, but are actually perfectly edible

saani There's no option for specific items in Aldi, however Too Good To Go do have vegetarian and vegan bags for some stores such as Barburrito and Bagel Factory. So it could be something for Aldi to introduce at a later date.

This is a fantastic idea getting Aldi one of the big supermarkets chains to join To Good To Go. Hopefully, other supermarkets will join to help food going to waste 🗑. Thank you 😊 for sharing

This is a very good app. I work in London Bridge so have to be quick onnthe draw, but often can organise a late lunch and give out food to folks who are struggle all for just over £3. Always worth reading the reviews for individual shops and of course you get what you're given. If they are a shop that does meats, fish, any other such things that might be your preference then avoid those shops and you should be fine.

sophiereddy thank you.

Apologies about the poor grammar and dodgy sentence structures. I saw the app listed and had to write something immediately as I've been using it a while, just didn't know how to post it here. Also turns out walking and typing isn't my thing 😁

There are several problems with this scheme although I do approve of it. I've volunteered with a food surplus organisation in my area which collects this food on a daily basis 20 mins before the store closes, (this includes Aldi, Lidl, Tesco, Morrissons, Iceland & a couple of independents all in my area ), then hands out to families in need for a small donation if they can afford that, practically nothing goes to waste & best part of that is they choose what they need or would like at handouts so they are not having anything that they would throw away simply because they don't like it. This however will reduce what goes to these organisations as the stock will be even lower for them to collect. That also brings in another problem is you don't have a choice of what you get as some have said earlier, Vegan choices, some have had really bad bags with nothing they like or the food is not in a good state. Food waste in both the retail & hospitality sectors get tax allowances for food waste so they are already covered for losses. The other problem as already mentioned is some don't have the facility to pre-order by app & then is there also going to be a time limit on collection? For non drivers in more rural towns there would be no bus services at that time of night & cost of a taxi would out way the saving. As with all schemes there are pro's & cons but just worth thinking about
