Huge Wilko Sale Alert: Up to 50% OFF!
BIG News for Bargain-Hunters! Wilko has just unveiled a massive in-store sale today, slashing prices by up to a staggering 50% on numerous items. If you're after some early Christmas goodies, now's the time!
Ellie Smitherman at The Sun reported that amid recent worries over the chain's future due to its financial challenges, this sale is a shimmer of hope. Just last week, the potential shutdown of all 400 stores and the threat to 12,500 jobs loomed over us. Yet, despite the ongoing administration sale, Wilko has decided to sprinkle a little more joy on its loyal customers.
Unfortunately, many shoppers previously faced a wave of disappointment with limited discounts available. But breathe easy, fellow bargain-lovers! From today, you're in for reductions ranging from 20% to a whopping 50% on various sought-after ranges.
Here's a quick breakdown of the can't-miss deals and comments from Tom Church, Co-Founder of LatestDeals.co.uk
Decorating & Home Adornment - 20% Off
“With a 20% markdown on both decorating supplies and home adornments, now’s the time to refresh your home's aesthetics. Before diving in, however, it's always wise to have a theme or style in mind to avoid unnecessary purchases.”
DIY Supplies - 20% Off
"Last summer, I undertook a DIY project to build a bookshelf. While it turned out decent, I did realise the importance of having the right tools. With 20% off, I’m eyeing some quality tools to make my next DIY project smoother. Here's hoping this time it'll be straight!"
Garden & Seasonal - 30% Off
“As summer wanes, there's a 30% discount beckoning gardeners and homeowners. This is an ideal opportunity to purchase gardening tools, plants, and even seasonal decor at slashed prices.”
Housewares & Kitchen - 20% Off
“Revamp your living spaces with a 20% discount on all housewares and kitchen items. Wilko sells kitchen appliances, including Breville, Salter, Swan, Lavazza, Tassimo and more. Whether you’ve been on the lookout for a new coffee machine or it’s time to upgrade your toaster, it’s well worth a look at the Wilko clearance to see if there are any bargains on branded appliances."
Stationery & Toys - 30% Off
“Students and parents should look out for the 30% off on both stationery and toys. Whether prepping for the new school year or stocking up on gifts, there are plenty of bargains to be had. With A-Level results having just been released, you may be starting to think about essentials you or your kids will need in September. I think it’s well worth a trip to the Wilko sale to see if there are bargains you can nab on uni must-haves.
"Every store will have different deals, so it's worth looking out for bedding sets, frying pans, crockery, duvets and pillows, and so on. These are the kinds of items that don’t often have mega discounts, as they’re the kinds of things people always need to buy. If you can find these items reduced to clear, don’t hesitate!"
Just a heads-up, if you're keen to take advantage of these deals, they're only available in-store. With online click and collect, along with delivery halted, you'll want to head to your local Wilko pronto. And as always, be prepared - we're not certain about the long-term future of these stores post-sale.
Tom Church, Co-Founder of shopping community LatestDeals.co.uk, said, "The Wilko sale is an incredible opportunity for shoppers to save. It's a silver lining during uncertain times for the brand." Remember, every penny saved is a penny earned!
Try Out These Discount Codes
Check Out These Money Saving TipsI bought some packing tape with 30% off. I had a good look around the store and the 10% and 20% off prices didn't seem amazing with the end price being similar or even more than some similar stores like Home Bargains. People were buying at these discounts and the queues at the tills were long but there were only 2 tills operating out of about 7 tills. I guess that is indicative of the Wilko decline as 7 tills were the requirement for better times. In fact the Yeovil store had tills both ends and I think there was another 4 or 5 tills at back of the store and going directly out to the car park.
