- Lidl’s Freeway Cola Truck will tour nine UK locations, offering free products and £100 vouchers
- First stop in Dundee on November 14, ending in Southampton on December 1
- 2,000 present boxes to be handed out at each stop, with a chance to win a £100 Golden Ticket
Lidl has unveiled its very own cola-themed Christmas truck, set to rival the iconic Coca-Cola truck, as it embarks on a festive tour across Great Britain. Starting November 14 in Dundee and wrapping up on December 1 in Southampton, the 15-tonne Freeway Cola Truck will visit nine locations, bringing Christmas cheer to shoppers nationwide.
At each stop, Lidl will hand out 2,000 gift boxes filled with fan-favourite middle-aisle products. In a festive twist, one in ten of these boxes will contain a “Golden Ticket” — a £100 Lidl Plus app voucher. To claim a prize, customers must have the Lidl Plus loyalty app, available to download for free.
In addition to giveaways, the truck will serve up festive treats and feature a giant gift box and Lidl van to add to the holiday atmosphere. Shoppers can also make a “wish” at the truck, with Lidl pledging to fulfil some lucky wishes.
The list of stops include:
- Dundee – November 14
- Harrogate – November 16
- Hull – November 17
- Nottingham – November 21
- Wolverhampton – November 23
- Wrexham – November 24
- Luton – November 28
- Bournemouth – November 30
- Southampton – December 1
The truck will stop at these locations between 12pm to 6pm and you can track the progress at www.lidl.co.uk/freeway_tour.
Tom Church, Co-Founder of LatestDeals.co.uk, commented: “It’s fantastic to see Lidl spreading festive cheer with its Freeway Cola Truck. With freebies, golden tickets, and holiday wishes, it’s a fun, budget-friendly way to get into the Christmas spirit.
Only one stop in Scotland, nothing in the central belt or in the Scottish borders. Poor show.
AndreaPreston I'm in Somerset myself and never expect to see anything come down our way. We are a bit off the beaten path to say the least.
We all like freebies but this a truck labelled with a cheap and nasty cola brand that I honestly can't drink its so awful seems really weird. Also shameless theft of the Coca Cola truck idea which does seem rather pathetic.
