Mega Cheddar Bargain Spotted in Tesco

Cheese fans are set to feel very excited today, as supermarket giant Tesco has begun making a big discount to its much loved Cathedral City cheddar.

A post in the Facebook Group Latest Deals, Extreme Couponing and Bargains, shared by Tia Redpath, reveals Tesco has made the cheese half price.

Normally, Tesco sells Cathedral City for £10 per kilogram.

The photo quickly got the attention of other shoppers and cheese lovers on Facebook, with members commenting and tagging their friends.

The discounted cheese is available in-store from Tesco, however the big blocks pictured are 2.5KG which would make it £12.50 in total.

Online, the supermarket has some smaller packs of cheese also discounted. For example, the 550g pack was £5.50 but is now £3.50.

One member commented, "Imagine the cheese on toast..."

But you'll have to get your skates on to snap up the bargain as it's unknown how long it will run for.

Deepak Tailor, co-founder of LatestDeals.co.uk said, "This deal looks incredible. I can't wait to run to Tesco and get my hands on this. Imagine the faces of your kids when you show them a block of cheese bigger than their heads!"

Another member added it still pays to shop around, "There are always offers on Cathedral City and I think places like Aldi and Lidl might be cheaper still. I'm not sure if they sell mega blocks of cheese like this though."
