Halloween is here once again, and if you’re bored of dressing as a cat yet again, take inspiration from the incredibly realistic Halloween costumes created by this mum.
Laura Shaw, a 31-year-old mum of three from Rotherham, will definitely win all the prizes at her kids’ Halloween parties this year.
Laura’s budget costumes include a headless woman and a body chopped in half.
Laura told money-saving community LatestDeals.co.uk: “We enjoy making costumes rather than buying one from a shop.
“For the half body, I used some old pieces of clothing and stuffed the legs with balloons to make them look real.
"I cut some cardboard and put fake blood on it and placed it on top of the trousers to make it look like she’s been cut in half.
"It only cost £3 as I only needed fake blood - it’s a cheap way to make costumes on a budget.
“For the head chopped off, all that was needed was a backpack, a newspaper, a paper plate and some old clothing.
"Pack the jumper with newspaper, cut a hole for the head to pop through, put some blood on a paper plate, then place the plate round the neck.
“The body was held up by a backpack on the child's back to make it look like the fake body is higher than her head and to give off the chopped head look!"
