Woman creates cute gifts for postmen and people are loving it

When you shop from Amazon, eBay or John Lewis this festive season, give your postman a thought: he delivers your buys day in and day out, whatever the weather.
One woman has thought of an ingenious way to thank her postmen: by creating little gifts for each one. Best of all, each one only cost 20p to make.
Steph Bamber, 24, from Bournemouth, decided to create little packages of chocolates with a handwritten card for each of the postmen who regularly deliver her online orders.
Steph, a university student who works part time in retail, told money-saving community LatestDeals.co.uk: "It’s basically little thank you gifts for the postmen and delivery drivers to appreciate them over the festive season.
"I already had the cards from the sales last year (they were 25p for the pack), and the cellophane bags were £1 for all of them, plus the chocolates were a couple of boxes. I spent no more than £5 in total on everything so each pack costs about 20p to make.”
Steph posted her sweet gesture online and soon got thousands of likes from fellow online shoppers.
"I just wanted to spread some joy and make people feel appreciated as they do a hard job, especially at this time of year, and don’t ever really get any thanks for it,” she explained.
"The postman was so happy - he was shocked and a bit taken aback but then shook my hand and kept saying thank you so much, and jogged back to his post cart with a grin on his face.
"The Amazon driver was a bit taken aback too and wasn’t quite sure why I was giving it to him but when I explained he said it was very sweet and wished me a very happyChristmas!”
Tom Church, co-founder of LatestDeals.co.uk, says: “Delivery drivers can often betaken for granted, but luckily kind consumers like Steph are thinking of them! This kind gesture must have made Steph’s delivery drivers’ days - and best of all, they only cost20p to make. I’ll be copying this move to say thanks to my postmen this festive season - they deserve it with all the Amazon orders I make!"
