£400 Chocolate Bar

Would you pay £400.00 for a 50g chocolate bar? To put that into perspective I can buy a 45g Cadbury Dairy Milk for £0.60 at Tesco.
Well Harrods are selling a To'ak Vintage 2014 Cognac Cask Matured 3 Years Chocolate Bar (50g) for the bargain price of £400.00 - https://www.harrods.com/en-gb/toak/vintage-2014-cognac-cask-matured-3-years-chocolate-bar-50g-p000000000005804925?bcid=F010010060000
If you think that is a little excessive you could always get the cheapest To'ak bar, at only £295.00.
I saw a TV program a few years ago when one of the founders of To'ak was visiting various luxury chocolate shops around London trying to find a retailer to stock their products. All of them baulked at the price and none of them were impressed with the taste of the chocolate. All apart from one... Harrods.
This is a product that appears to be squarely aimed at people who want to flaunt their wealth (or give the impression of being wealthy) rather than those who have an appreciation of quality.
Seeing as I am in a chat room on a deals, freebies etc website, writing a comment long enough to bank me +20 points (2p) for my LatestDeals total (and that makes me excited) I would say that it is quite unlikely that I will find myself in a position where I would consider buying a 50g chocolate bar for £400. In fact if in the future you or anyone else on this site becomes aware of the fact that I do purchase this chocolate bar then I would like you to contact the police and medical services and share that information so they could locate me and cure me of the issues I have since developed.
uhhh.....really...probably the cognac has some effect and that is mature and expensive, not the chocolate...lol
They are only using an empty barrel that once contained cognac to infuse the chocolate. They don't state what type of cognac was in the barrel, so it is unlikely to be an ultra premium brand. It's produced in very limited quantities so they won't need much room for storage. Even their basic milk chocolate bar costs £295. This company is very gimmicky, they go as far as to add special tweezers in the box, which you are meant to use to pick up and eat the chocolate with. It seems more about the experience than the actual product
