Amazon's "Improved" Rating Star System
Other
Instead of seeing 3, 4, or 4.5 stars on the product list for each item it's now just a star with a number. That's a bit confusing as the old system was so straightforward.
Example:
What a shame this is what they decided is better.
I noticed that too today and my immediate thought was the product had lots of negative reviews giving only 1 star. It’s definitely a change for the worse.
snoogans888 I am going to have a look later. To be honest I am no longer a fan of Amazon and the association with dodgy third parties sellers.
jam45 Speaking of dodgy third parties, I bought a treadmill from a seller on the marketplace and it never arrived so I've filed for a full refund and got it automatically.
That seller now has plenty of negative reviews.

Not once did they ever reply to a message (i.e. Where is it? Is there any update?).

Never understand why Amazon sell soo much food on their site, it looks terrible value often a lot dearer than even convenience stores. Who buys this stuff? Such a huge waste of money. I spoke to someone who called himself a 'Prime Pillock' as he realised he was buying very overpriced products from Amazon because the postage was free and realised how much money he was wasting on both prime and the products in question so stopped. I pretty much only use Amazon for warehouse items and when there is a voucher offer. I almost never pay for postage but don't have prime.
Tom Exactly. Just have the rating or the percentage, not both.
I'm hoping someone makes an extension (for Chrome/Firefox/etc) to bring back the old format so it can be viewed again.
Odd. I don't think they care if it's confusing - this must benefit Amazon somehow hence the change...
