Has Anyone Else Just Gave up Sale Searching on Boots.com?
Ask a Question
When boots.com/ has a clearance or a major sale, has anyone else, like me just given up going onto the website to have a look altogether? Honestly, I don't understand their logic behind not having an option within the filter facility that can hide products that are 'out of stock'. If they did it would maybe stop the site from running sooooooo slowly, while also taking the product search down from 515 to 27; therefore, showing 1 page of available products as opposed to 50 pages of none. I'm totally fed up scrolling through page after page of items that are sold out!
I was just wondering if it bothered anyone else or if it was just me lol
No your not alone! I think boots has one of the worst websites for a large brand. It's been slow and badly designed for years, I really don't like ordering from them online.
I couldn't agree more. For the Boots brand being a household name their website is absolutely shocking x
Definitely I hate the website very glitchy and badly designed. They would make money if they spent money on good web design
I can't remember the last time I was even on the website it's gone hill for me.the last few years
I think most of us feel the same. Why put things on the site when they've sold out in a sale. A lot of my friends feel the same too
Quite agree as I no longer look for sale items either, such a lot of time spent wasted so don't bother anymore.
Having ordered quite a lot online in their recent sale I have to agree with the comments already made. I just stopped my search when I began getting too many out of stock items.
Also, I have had an advantage card for many years but trying to add it online to get points for my purchases was impossible. Probably more to do with my lack of computer skill but why I couldn't just put my number in a box somewhere is beyond me.
On the plus side I did manage to get some great deals with 50/70% off and have most of next year's Xmas presents sorted, even better if I had got the points for roughly £200 worth of purchases!
Really glad u managed to get some good out of a complete sh@# show! If I were u I would either contact customer services with a very strongly worded email, attaching Ur receipt and asking for your points. All they can say is no but if they do, I'd wash my hands with them xx
Let me know how u get on love. I can't see them saying no but tbh it wouldn't surprise me x
The Boots website is horrendous. i guess they dont see the point of investing in it due to their target market. That's why i prefer Superdrug
Even if you went to the Boots Sale all the greedy Ebayers would have stripped everything to make a profit selling items online at VASTLY INFLATED PRICES....
I don’t bother - realised years ago their website was absolutely sh@#£ and would rather search for deals instore than torture myself by navigating their useless site
I have looked for sale items recently but I've been frustrated with it in the past. So don't bother anymore sadly. I did love boots sales tho
I no longer bother as most are out stock or awaiting stock etc and then prices ain't the same.
I had the exact same problem with Lloyds Pharmacy they sent an email saying they had a Sale on yet almost everything was out of stock Which is why I left a comment on the deal page someone shared the pedicure product on sale at Lloyds Pharmacy and I commented that practically every single item was out of stock even baby nappies all out of stock, I said I had the same happen with B&Q they had garden chairs on offer I was there along with about 4 others just as they unlocked yet they didn’t have any garden chairs and yet the sale was starting that day I don’t mind the obvious that some items were sold but they should not send emails knowing that the staff and their families have first priority by all means they are entitled to buy but they should either have a sale for the staff and one for customers because you know full well that’s how unscrupulous people buy everything then sell it on at a Massive mark up. It’s those attitudes that causes items to be rationed because of the greedy no not everyone is that way but we all know that happens
Yep I don’t bother with it anymore or if I do I usually give up quickly as it’s such a pain
I went into my local boots the other day to see if they had a sale. Well, I found the clearance shelf, it looked worse than a charity shop plus they was a pair of hair tongs for £55!
