Nope don't do it. You need a point of contact to begin with.... a friend of a friend you've heard of at least.
I don't usually accept those friend requests, especially when there's so many accounts going around with fake names. Many Facebook friends aren't really your friends anyway. They just see you as being an extra number on their friends list.
Regular 'chatters' probably know my views on fb, but when I had an account I never accepted a friend I had not met in the flesh, or at the very least a friend of a very good friend.
Yes i feel a bit scary as he lives nearby the same county. Better safe as many people now are scammers and we dont know phedophiles. Keep our children safe and be watchful
