Banned Merchants
Latest Deals
LatestDeals.co.uk first and foremost is a community. A place where people can share money saving tips with each other. Our first rule, the rule of rules, is that brands cannot self promote.
While we certainly work with brands to make money (read: How does Latest Deals make money) enabling us to give you points and rewards, brands are not allowed to post their own deals. However, some seem intent on ignoring that despite multiple warnings and private emails.

This is a list of banned merchants. If you're posting a deal and wondering why it's not being allowed, it may because they're here, on our walk of shame...
BANNED MERCHANTS
- LylasFashion - Spammed the site with their own shop, fake email and promoting counterfeit goods. Banned.
- OMG Hotels - Staff of the company created over 10 fake accounts and repeatedly self promoted, upvoted and commented on their own deals. Despite multiple warnings, private emails and requests to stop, they continued to try and deceive. Banned.
- uGadget - Spammed our Competitions and tried to get around our moderation system using naughty methods. Not cool. Banned.
Please note - This is not a complete list of banned merchants and websites. Think of it as a hall of shame.
Thanks for making this Tom
We're generally really rather reluctant to ban/prevent a retailer's posts from being shared on LD. However we have come across one or two that unfortunately just don't want to play nice :(
Given that we've now had to introduce some limits on retailers we wanted to be as open and transparent as we can be as to who is banned and why they're banned.
If you have any questions please just shout - as Tom mentioned we have a pretty high tolerence and will generally try and explain to the poster what's going on and the rules of LD before swinging the banhammer.
I'm sure there'll be some people who will request GameSeek to be part of the list but to their defence, I'm actually very satisfied with them. Got a Switch for under £200 (haven't used the thing to actually play anything though 'cause I'm burned out of the games I've got), games all turned up as expected and on top of that you can get store credit for future purchases when you buy something.
Grainger Games isn't great and they can take ages to dispatch a game but shouldn't be banned either. GG used game prices are relatively low so that's a plus they have.
LD should ban:
- G2A
- Kinguin
Having stricter moderation on posts will certainly help. Hopefully, no rogue posts will slip through the net...
Yeah. Take a look at these posts:

Don't know why they're still up.
TackLife products are now banned from Latest Deals for continual self promotion.
GirlieWhirlie, you're very vigilant on the website - if you spot a TackLife deal please can you report it?
A very warm welcome to Latest Deals AbbyPerry132! It's great to have you here. Any questions, please just ask
Is ShopTo banned? I can't post it as a deal neither hyperlink.
If they are, I don't know why. ShopTo has always been 5* for me.
Tried sharing a YouTube 3 month freebie but it's apparently banned? Kinda hard to share stuff with this and that not being permitted on LD for some reason.
YouTube was banned as a link to which people could share deals and competitions after we received many spam posts to it. Thank you for your feedback, we will take it into consideration should the decision to change it come up again. In the meantime, you are welcome to share it in Chat.
Tom That's a shame. In those cases having those freebies reported could be suffice and not punish the rest when posting genuine YouTube offers.
