Battersea Dogs + Cats Home Name Veterinary Hospital after Paul OGrady
Ask a Question
I think this is a fitting tribute to him , he was a great ambassador for animals
I used to enjoy watching his 'for the love of dogs' series
They could not have picked anyone more suitable to host the programme
A complete contrast to Lily Savage
What do you think , could they have found anyone better ?
Yes Paul absolutely LOVED his animals, treated them & humans with respect, always a gentleman.
Rest peacefully Paul, you were one of a kind...
telmel NO, no, no. How much money is going to be spent on renaming and advertising it? I am sick and tired of various places named after dead celebrities. So what if he liked dogs? What was the chairman thinking of when he came up with this expensive and unnecessary waste of money? donations I meant.
jam45 I think he was a worthy cause J
How much has the Battersea donated since Paul O Grady died?
After O'Grady's death, the charity set up a "tribute fund" in his honour which has raised £480,000 to date. Some £100,000 of the fund will be distributed to five other animal charities that were close to the entertainer's heart, with each getting £20,000 From 2 days ago
telmel I am not one bit impress with the charity asking people to donate money in his honour! The cheek of Battersea's dog Home. What has happened to the millions of pounds in donations that they get from the public each year? I have nearly forgotten the shareholders comes first of course.
telmel ...Thank you,Paul was a diamond, came across as a genuine gentleman, had empathy by the bucket load & he treated his animals like family..
That’s nice of them to do and well deserved since he did a lot to highlight the charity. Shame he’s not here to receive the accolade in person
Was never a fan of his comedy but it was clear that he loved dogs and was a great ambassador for them. It will also get them even more publicity for their work
I thought they might do that
He was such a caring man with all the animals I think it's lovely they are doing it
