B&M out of Date food.. Has This Happened to You?

I have just been to the wonderful B&M! I’m a huge fan. But tonight I came across these wonderful baking gifts. I bought 5 as Xmas stocking fillers. But when I got home realised 3 of them were best before May 2023… the other 2 December 2023 there was no obvious signage around these when I purchased them. So I could have given these as gifts and been later embarrassed if the person thought I had given them an old gift! Anyone had a similar experience?
