Deepak Tailor - How to live for free
The book has some tips how to get free things, food etc. I learnt a lot from it.
Haven't really gained any life improvement from reading books but I suppose it depends how you mean. I am an avid reader and cannot go to sleep without reading first. I love historical.......either fact or fiction but even the fictional must be based in facts of the era and a true account of things that happened. I have learned so much over the years, especially about medieval history and now give the odd talk to old people's groups so I guess you could say that is a life improvement. It has also strengthened my knowledge of history and English literature.
I like sci-fi and horror and most of the times I read nothing about the real World, just fictions. I like them, they feed my creative mind.
Most of the book has some kind of knowledge and you learn from them.
Too many titles to list but favourite authors of historical fiction are: Anne O'Brien, Sharon Penman, Elizabeth Chadwick, David Gilman, Conn Iggulden, Ken Follett and loads more. As far as factual goes I love Dan Jones and was lucky to meet him in October, also Sam Willis and James Daybell, they all write and present history on tv. Dan has written about Magna Carta, The Plantagenets, The Knights Templar etc. I am quite a fan and would sooner meet any of them than all the film and music celebrities!
