Where Were You Born?

Other

I was born in the Seychelles, but came to UK when I was 2 and half years old,

it's a small island on the end coast of East Africa and in the middle of the

Indian Ocean

My late dad was born in Kenya and some of my other Family members as well... Kenya is not far from Seychelles

My dad was born in Nairobi but some of my cousins where born in

Mombasa

that's where all the beaches are which this is the Indian Ocean running

along side of Kenya at Mombasa.

it's great! being born on such a beautiful island and don't get me wrong

I am grateful for that but I still look at the Seychelles as a place to get

marriage or to a have honeymoon or a holiday.

I don't look at it as a place to live.

I look at Kenya as a place to live,

I guess because it has a city and you could go to Mombasa every now

and then at the weekend go and have fun at the beach

and Kenya is big like the UK, I still look at Kenya as a place for a holiday

at same time.

Does anyone feel that way, who may have a similar situation as me?

because people think am weird or strange but looking at the reason's

why I feel that way it's normal...

"Kenya is big like the UK"

Going by the world map that I have, Kenya's not really big at all but somewhat decently sized. UK big? Well, it is an island and it also (still) owns Gilbratar.

Big countries in my opinion:

1. Russia

2. Canada

3. Australia

4. America

5. Denmark

6. Brazil

7. China

The rest are kinda small in comparison, I'd say.

actually Kenya is bigger then UK

If you Google it: just type in

"is kenya bigger then uk?"

It will explain that Kenya is twice the size of UK

I just googled China and yes China is way lot more bigger then Kenya.

Am not saying UK is huge like China but it is still big to me anyway.

Kenya is larger than the UK.

"Kenya is approximately 580,367 sq km, while United Kingdom is approximately 243,610 sq km."

"Denmark is about 6 times smaller than United Kingdom. United Kingdom is approximately 243,610 sq km, while Denmark is approximately 43,094 sq km."

jakemoss Curses, the map that I have makes countries look bigger/smaller than they are. And yeah, I should have checked how sq km large or small they are, but didn't.

By the way, not to be a grammar nitpicker but it's "Where were you born?" because "Where was you born?" would have been acceptable back in the 50's and 60's but that just doesn't sound right now.
