Do You Buy Second Hand Clothes?
Ask a Question
Do you buy second hand clothes?
Buying second hand from ebay, vinted or plaves like charity shop can save you quite a bit of money.
I buy the majority of my clothes from Ebay and if they don't fit or aren't as expected then I re sell them for someone else. Sometimes I break even, also if I get fed up with them after a while then I know I can recoup some cash. I hate using shops so Ebay and Amazon are my lifeline.
juliefarrah17 same though we are off to France in a few weeks and looking forward to shopping in the supermarket there but I like french supermarkets
I have always bought some of my clothes 2nd hand - it's possible to get some really bargains if you shop wisely. I also donate a lot of clothes (and other things) to charity shops.
I buy a lot of clothes from Vinted and they are good quality clothed and a very good price. Xx
I lost nearly 6 stone over the last 2 years (if anyone wants to know I followed a strict low carb diet). Sadly, of course, none of my clothes fitted me, I went from a size 22/24 to a 14. I gave my wardrobe to charity and had to buy myself a new one. Thank heavens for eBay and charity shops, I got some amazing bargains, especially eBay. Loads of M & S clothes never worn with original labels attached. We live in an affluent area and I got a few designer pieces from charity shops and a beautiful hardly worn Windsmoor jacket in merino and cashmere - I can’t imagine how much that would have cost new
MargaretJe98202 Wow.Well done you.Cost you a new wardrobe but what an amazing accomplishment.
Yes I buy second hand clothes. I buy loads of second hand stuff for my son, not just clothes but books and toys too. I rarely buy for myself though as can never find anything that I like
Yes ebay and vinted are both great, you get more choice and better prices, plus its better for the environment.
I do buy second hand clothes - usually buy new/like new from eBay and make really good savings
yes. but only good second hand clothes, I also donate my good clothes to the local clothing bank in Yorkshire I’m also a drop off point for the clothing bank, that help people who in need of decent clothing all free of charge
Absolutely. Best buys Ralph Lauren jeans. Tommy Hilfiger cardigan, Puma sweatshirt etc. Environmentally friendly but a fun game for best labels as well...
I love shopping at charity shops, you never know what you might find. I bought a Karen Millen dress last week for £6; more than I'd normally pay but I've had loads of compliments when I wore it.
I biy loads from vinted but usually filter the search to 'new with tags'. I sometimes buy second hand from charity shops
No issue with 2nd hand clothes for me, can save a lot of money and find some quality items sometimes.
Yes I do and have done for most of my life. I mostly get them from charity shops or boot fairs.
Not only can it save money, buying second hand has a big environmental benefit.
I don’t buy second hand often as I tend to only shop certain places and usually know exactly what I’m looking for, browsing a range of clothes in a range of styles etc doesn’t appeal to me, although I think Vinted and Depop etc are helping tackle this and make buying second more widespread.
Yep. And I get it when the prices are low, but obviously selecting the good stuff - you have to rifle and through lots of rubbish before you find a gem
I love our charity shops, all my grandkids love a look and they say grandmas shop is the best xxx
Course I do..I love rummaging and seeing what I can find..I am so addicted. That years ago I volunteered and then a well known charity shop. Down the High Street advertisied for a assistant manager. Applied and got the job..paid for my hobby. Lol xx
Yushhh sometimes, it's great what you can find second hand and half if not over half the price of new and most times it's in decent condition
Yes, I live in jeans and the ones I really like are usually £18 plus per pair. I found really good ones in charity shops priced between £1-£3 and even better branded ones than what I usually wear. I don't think I have bought brand new jeans in over a year and I go through quite a few pair.
I personally don't, as when I was a kid we were poor, and I didn't have a choice. However my son does, it doesn't have the same stigma as when I need growing up and it's better for the environment.
But I do give clothes to charity.
Yes all the time, had some great finds in charity shops over the years, but I find some charity shops are getting quite pricey, found a lovely dress a few weeks ago but they wanted £45 and another £30 for hatching shoes, it was some designer or another, sod that, couldn't care less about the name. Vinted is also good for second hand stuff
Yes use to enjoy a browse round the local charity shops now I use vinted as usually ends up cheaper
The odd few bits from vinted yes. I got my son a great new winter jacket, it has only been worn once. Mainly new with tags on new without tags x
Yes for what I pay for one item in my local Tesco F and F I can go on bus 10 minutes in other direction and get 7 pair of jeans and 2 bags from a local charity shop for the same price. Cant beat a good bargain from a charity shop
Charity shops are brilliant if you are a crafted etc. So many pretty dresses that wouldn't fit me but the fabric is just right for dolls clothes, patchwork etc etc.
Yes went and bought 2 pairs of jeans this morning cost me £5 in total. One pair was F&F, the other pair were New Look. Can't beat the prices in charity shops and they look brand new too
