Buying a New Mattress
Feedback
I need to replace two double bed matresses. Does anyone have any idea where i could get a decent mattress that doesn't cost the earth please. I have seen cheap ones on groupon but have never known anyone who has actually bought one. Thank you for your help
I've just brought a double mattress £69.99 and £3.99 for p&p from amazon and it a very good mattress it's a memory foam one. And it will be here next week. Hope this has helped you.
Thank you for your reply, I appreciate it I'd be really keen to know if you are happy with it when it arrives and you sleep on it, if that's not too much trouble for you
Only two please to help you. Will let you know has soon has I've had my first night on it. And also give you the name of the mattress.
I suggest you go into one of the big retailers - Dreams / Bensons etc and lie on all of them, decide on the ones you like best and then shop around for the best bargain. Everyone likes different mattresses so it's difficult to recommend - a couple of my friends and I hate memory foam as you get so hot - another friend swears by them. Last one I bought - bit pricier but worth every penny - a hypnos (Premier Inn) mattress and I love it!
Oh that sounds lovely! Might be a daft question but do bed shops sell them in obvious ways such as soft, medium & firm?! Thank you for your reply I appreciate it
Set aside at least an hour because you can lie on the lot for as long as you like! Yes they sell them as soft etc, also whether sprung, memory foam etc It's all about how you sleep. Just try them all, decide what you like then hit the internet. Good luck
Thanks who knew there were so many options! I like your idea of trying out in a shop then searching online
We got a really good deal from George Asda. Memory foam and really comfortable. Always worth checking there
