I have 3 beagles so I’m definately a dog person 
. Don’t mean to be rude but cats do nothing for me !
Hi nipperjwb i like both I have a dog and I am on the look at for a kitten. Dogs and cats can be very loving. And great company has well. My last two cats I had was a mother and son. Mother lived UNTILL she was 23 years old and her son was 24 years old when he die. So yes I love both.

Hi RegularComper90 my two cats lived very happy with the dogs. I use to find sooty and sweep in the chicken house in the nesting box's curled up with the chickens chicken and cats fast sleep. I miss them a lot. So I am looking for 2 kittens. Oh and a lady friend for Eddie. The kittens will never replace them. Sooty and sweep were jet black. People use to say get rid of them because there class them un lucky and whictches cat and would would bring bad luck. .
nicolajaynehend The only bad luck is missing out on having a black cat. There is something about pure black ones. They're gorgeous.
And I love seeing animals getting on well with each other. 
Hopefully you will get a little lady friend for Eddie shortly. xx
On a practical note you don't have to go out in terrible weather to walk a cat nor do you have to walk around carrying bags of poop. So it's cats every time for me. I have to add we have never had the dreaded litter tray trained cat, they all have 'gone' outdoors
A neighbours cat always 'goes outdoors' too normally in my flower beds drives me bonkers! I've bought all sorts of things to try to deter them and keep them out of my garden really not what I want the kids to play in!!
Don't mean to be rude either but wouldn't want either. I would go crackers having to look after another living thing, probably too selfish and lazy!!
I really love animals, but I know that you aren't being rude at all. 
Just because I like something doesn't mean that everyone else has to. Unlike some others, I am actually quite tolerant of peoples' personal preferences.
However, when people actually abuse animals, then that's a completely different story.
RegularComper90 yes, each to their own but on the positive side i occasionally look after my son's dog who is a gorgeous little cuddly thing. He gets plenty of love and cuddles and snuggles up on the sofa with me but after a few days I am ready to give him back! However, when I visit he jumps up next to me with his head in my lap and doesn't leave my side so he obviously knows I love him and the feeling is obviously mutual!
I have three cats; they drive me up the wall. Not that I don't love them and everything but they're really annoying. Demand food every five minutes, jump on me every time I sit down and refuse point blank to use the cat flap when they have me on tap to open doors for them. Not to mention the presents they bring in (thankfully not very often). One of my cats thinks he is a dog and likes to play fetch; he's an odd one.
I currently have Cutie the cat on my lap and the laptop so it is not easy to type. I also have a thing for fishes as I've had fish since I was 4 years old.
i used to love both cat and dogs but then i got bitten by a cat on my big toe hence got phobia and just love the dogs..

then again, so am I! 
I am a dog person. I’m not a fan of cats especially living in a rural area full of cats having to ALWAYS pick up their poop from my garden. Very frustrating.
my Daughter loves cats though and invites them to come in the garden 
i love dogs but can't get one as there is no one home in the daytime to keep it company. I do think you need to be there to look after it
I'm a cat person. I like doggies but never had one and had a really awful experience with an alsatian when I was 8 years old.
My own cat just bit me though so I'm not very fond of her at the mo 
Not a fan of cats or dogs. But recently I've been interested in having a finger monkey. They look super cute and just so unique
