Do You Celebrate Your Anniversary?

Ask a Question

Do you celebrate your anniversary? 💐

Do you exchange gifts, go out for a nice meal or a break away? Or maybe it's something you stopped celebrating as the years went on?

Me and my husband just celebrated our 9th Anniversary with a nice meal out.

We did when I was married. Last month WOULD have been our 53rd anniversary but heard through the grapevine he just split from wife number 4 lol. I always send anniversary cards to my sons who have both been with their wives for 20 plus years.

We give each other cards but they’re not new ones every year. I kept some a few years ago and now my husband recycles them putting two out on display on the day 😂

Pjran That's an interesting tradition! I've heard of people doing it where they sign and date the same card every year.

SamGoodship that’s a good idea, not heard that one before. Just proves never too old to learn 😉

My mum and dad will be 60yrs married on 26th of this month so us kids (6 of us) are taking them out for a meal. Civilised and quiet then back to party with of all their nearest and dearest and probably complete mayhem. We’ve paid for caterers to do all food etc after so hopefully it’ll b a great evening and not too many sore heads following morning

We don't particularly celebrate it, but then I feel I'd rather do something in the year for each other, unplanned and not throw money on cards or gifts that we don't need and feels forced. We will say Happy 'how many years' though 😆

We've been married for 8 years. We celebrated it the first year, husband got me a card, mothering law and Granny took us out for dinner. That was the first and last time we celebrated it properly. We say Happy Anniversary and I will cook us a nice meal but that's it. We don't do cards or gifts.

My husband and I always celebrate our anniversary. Usually a holiday so it’s just the two of us. We went on cruise to celebrate our 25th.

Congrats on your 9 years.

Me and my wife had our 9 years this year as well.

We always go out for a meal and the very least.

Always nice to raise a glass.

For our 10th were looking at going away and celebrating in style.

Yes give each other a card, have chocolates and cake and a nice little takeaway or hubby has been known to cook a nice meal for the two of us
