China Customs Catch Man Trying to Smuggle More than 100 Snakes in His Trousers

In the News

I will try to keep this clean here as there is a joke in there somewhere

But i was amazed how he thought he would get away trying to smuggle over 100 snakes through customs in his trousers

They have x ray machines in China as everywhere else, and i am sure there would have been some suspicion with them all wriggling about in his nether regions

It is like something off i'm a celebrity , but a bit more intense

Not even they could get through that trial unscathed

I read this and thought that although shocking it was, perhaps, not surprising. I just wondered how much he would make selling them in China?

tumblespots Probably a lot of money T, the Chinese either breed exotic creatures to sell on , or use them as some kind of medicine or potion , so they are profitable to them dead or alive

I couldn't touch 1 never mind a 100. I always feel unnecessarily guilty going through customs or driving near a police car. The stress of actually being guilty would be too much

Imnotcheap I had a massive python around my neck once , many years ago while on holiday in Thailand, but it was a tourist photo and he was passing it onto everyone's shoulders , so i felt quite safe

telmel your braver than me. I seen a small harmless grass snake about 5 feet away once I ran away

Imnotcheap To be honest I its the smaller ones you have to worry about

For example , a python won't bite you, it might try to squeeze you to death , and occasionally might swallow a small animal, even a small human has not been unknown

But small snakes , especially with bright colours usually are very venomous and some can kill animals almost instantly, even a person after a short time depending on the type

Imnotcheap Yes , but i did see video where a very small and thin woman was swallowed by a python , its actually here, the person is blurred out though

telmel ....I had a snake around my neck on my 26th birthday in The Golden Ball pub in Sheffield City Centre, had my photo taken with it...The guy who owned the snake was letting people have their photos taken with his pet, it wasn't threatening at all & he wasn't taking money...

Following day I saw the same guy walking down the the road towards the Northern General Hospital with it around his neck when I went to local shops across from where I lived..

I think he lived locally..

That reminds me of living in Australia as a teen and constantly being teased and told to watch out for trouser snakes. This guy was taking that to a new level lol!

Lynibis That was the joke i mentioned was somewhere in my original post L

It used to be a well known proverbial years ago, i don't expect it is used much nowadays with political correctness and offending etc

But it does fit the scenario 😀
