Christmas Meats
Help
Hello everyone I was just curious and wish to query where does everyone get their Christmas meats from I'm thinking gammon and turkey crown this year but no idea where best valued supermarket
I'm thinking Aldi as they have some pretty cheap Turkey! Last night I went to Iceland though and got lots of party food nibbles which was quite cheap (2 for £5 deal).
Cheers tom we always shop at Aldi though we ended up at Iceland for our party nibbles and turkey
carlp666 We went to do big shopping on Tuesday to local big Sainsbury's and it was not even busy, they had lots of yellow sticker meat...
Seems like better not to get meat. Tesco sold some rotten turkeys....huh....I can imagine when someone wanted to roast it on Christmas day and when they opened the package ughhhhhrrrrr......and no way to get an other one that day....Also if u pay £30 or more for a bird u expect to be fresh and yummy....
I saw that as well! Made me slightly worried about our turkey crown, but it was frozen so it was fine!
We are not big meat eaters so would have been happy not to have any meat this year but our son loves chicken and specifically request roast beef as well this year. Wife just bought a small pack of sliced beef and heated it up - £1.50 and he loved it! Saved a lot of cash and it was nice and easy too.
