I dont know if its just me but it seems like an age since i seen a poster or heard of one . A child was asking my daughter at work had she ever met a clown coz she hadnt but seen one in a book . And another said he had seen one on tv advertisement .. dont u think its sad that some of todays kids have never seen one ..
Hi Darren we have a circus ever summer. In the city. But i can't go because it's to far. It's a 400mile round trip. 
Many people are afraid of clowns. This has been compounded by clowns often being portrayed as evil violent killers in horror films & TV shows, such as, It, and real life American serial killer John Wayne Gacy who became known as the 'Killer Clown'.
Very true, and it's a shame really as a when we were kids we loved going to the circus and seeing the clowns, they were just funny nothing sinister about them in those days, but now as you say they have been portrayed very differently in recent years , even Mcdonalds have dropped their clown now ,
