Do any one still have a cooked breakfast at the weekend.i still have a cooked breakfast at the weekend. But it's once in a while. But when I do have it I enjoy it. Eggs, bacon, hushbrown, toast and mug of tea. Heaven.
Only when I go on holiday or to Toby carvery. But our local one closed down They did the most amazing cooked breakfast with breakfast yorkshires and mashed roast potatoes with bacon
That sounds a lovely breakfast. It's a shame they closed it down. I bet you miss it. I know I would.
Yes it was the best ever. I don't think anywhere else will compare to it. Frankie and bennys breakfast is supposed to be good but I haven't tried it yet.
I've not heared of Frankie and Benny..one of our little cafe closed. And I miss it. They did some lovely meals. But because people are now on a health kick they stopped going. And it went bust. Which is a shame. It's now another take way. Now we more take way then shops.
don't forget the black pudding! tbh I never had black pudding until a couple of years ago, and I'm absolutely hooked - takes my brekkie to another level The hot brekkies are the best
Oh yes i for got to say black pudding. Yes I love black pudding. It's not a cook breakfast with out it.
nicolajaynehend lol after the first time I had it, I could've kicked myself for not trying it earlier in my life! It's absolutely delicious, and not expensive too - was getting a 4 pack for 43p from Lidl previously, but it's now gone up to 75p...still worth it though
Thank you ever so much for telling me Lidl sell it. I've to do a shop to day so I will get some. All so that's a very good price once again thank you.
nicolajaynehend you're welcome! I remember buying them for about £1 or £1.50 from the other supermarkets, but when I saw them for that cheap in Lidl, I was originally suspicious of the quality...but they turned out to taste the best, yet they were the cheapest. Hope you enjoy them - the scotch eggs in Lidl are quite good too, although they probably have gone up in price as well (were about 65p for 2)
Will look out for the scotch eggs. If you like prawns Lidl do a lovely prawn cocktail. It's about £1.50. Might have gone up. But it's lovely in a sandwich .
nicolajaynehend cheers for that. I don't really like prawns - had to peel a lot of prawns as a kid, so I was put off them from an early age, but if I ever needs some, I know where to go
Sometimes we have eggs and toast, not the rest. and we also have them on other days in the week.
I some time have eggs and toast. For a change. I do not have cook breakfast all the time it's once in while a treat.
We have a cooked breakfast at the weekend. My husband makes an ulster fry (he is from northern ireland) it is the same as a normal cooked breakfast but it has different breads on. We occasionally go out for breakfast at our local morrisons, which is amazing.
I've heared that Morrisons does a great breakfasts. My nears one is 100 miles from were I live. So that a bit far to go for breakfast . What's the different in the bread. And what's it called. Does your husband make the bread..
nicolajaynehend If you ever happen to be passing one you should definitely go in, the breakfast is fantastic. The bread is called Soda bread/Soda farell. It is a traditional type of Nothern Irish bread. It is triangular in shape. You cook it just like you would do with fried bread but it doesn't turn out as greasy and it is quite a fluffy bread. He doesn't make the bread but he knows how. The best place to get it is Marks and Spencer as it is the closes to the original one he has found. Also the potato bread that is used in an Ulster fry is different. Again it is fluffier and much thicker. Again the M&S ones are the closest to the ones he gets back in NI. He also enjoys what is known as a fullhouse soda. It is a breakfast sandwich that contains egg, bacon and sausage.
I've had soda bread be for. I make my own to go with home made soups. I like the sound of a full house soda. Bet it's very tasty. Would set you up for the day.
A fullhouse soda is so yummy! We love them in our house! I had never had one until I met my husband, now I have them all the time! Home made soda bread is amazing, bet yours is fabulous!
