I've just lost a stone in weight. By eating health. Making all my own meals. What do you think, about all these diet clubs. I think it a wast of time and money. Ive heard of people being brought to tears in front of the group's . I think its better to do it your self. Thats what i did. I lost 2 to 3 lb most weeks. And some time i did not. I just stayed the same. I did not put weight.on I all so have a treat in and out. I've still got a bit more to lose. Any help full tips. Please running out of idea. What to cook and snack on.
I go to a slimming group and have lost over 6stone in weight. I find the group supportive and have made some great friends. I am so grateful for the consultant and the group for the support they have given me especially the last 5 months due to illness. Well done for losing the weight, keep at it. If it is best for you to do at home, keep at it
I might not be the best person to comment as I never struggled with weight but I think I always had the good balance. I think the main thing is to eat healthy and to keep the portion size small! I eat often and little. I cook from scratch and don't eat fryed or fast food but my weakness are sweets so here comes to help exercising Congratulations on your achievement! Keep going and be strong
Congrats! That is fab! For me it is about eating healthy and exercise. I have always been lucky that I haven't struggled too much with my weight, whenever I noticed it creeping up, I would cut down. I will have quite a bit of weight to lose soon though, but I will be doing it gradually and will be in no rush to get rid of it. My best friend has been part of a slimming club for years. Her weight tends to yo-yo but she finds that the group really helps her as it gives her a focus and gives her extra support. I think it just depends on you as a person. In terms of snack, I enjoy salt and vinegar rice cakes with low fat cream cheese and ham. Also dried apricots are good as they are sweet but not packed with bad sugar.
That sound sounds lovely. Salt and vinegar rice cakes cream cheese and ham. I've not had this but I am going to give it a try.. And I am going to give apricots a go. Has will. Do you have to soak them first. How have you been in the heatwave. When is the baby coming. Is it your first. Thank you for tips. I will try them .
They are really tasty! You can just buy them from the supermarket, they are normally in the baking section or next to the raisins. If you are making them you need to put them in the oven for 12 hours! You need to soak them for about 10 minutes, dry them, then cut them in half and take out the pip. Slice them up, put them on a baking tray (with grease proof paper) and then in the oven for 12 hours on about 130 degrees.
Luckily we have a fan, so it has been my best friend recently and I have been hiding inside as much as possible! It is our first and baby is due in November.
Thank you for getting back. I will get some and try it. They said yum yum . All the very best for when the baby comes. You will have tells us what you had.
