Does Anyone Have Tips on Framing a Jigsaw Puzzle ?
Ask a Question
I have just ordered a giant 1,000 piece jigsaw puzzle from Amazon i saw on offer today and am thinking of framing it when completed
I have never framed one before and want to do the right thing so i don't damage it, in fact it is years since i pieced one together
I searched google and some people are saying to glue the front and back to hold it together, others are saying just glue the front
Then there is knowing the best clear cover when in the frame to avoid UVA light, glass or plastic ?
So if any of you kind members have any tips having done this yourselves i would be grateful
I am going to have to ask my husband when he wakes up as he done two of ours. I don’t recall him gluing it in. We have one in a glass frame in the hall so not directly in the light. Been up many years and has stayed the same.
Can't help with your actual query but I am an avid doer of jigsaws. It has never occurred to me to keep them in a frame. I leave them on the dining table for three days when complete and then break them up and rebox them. I have never done one less than 1,000 pieces and will often do the same one again but with quite a long time between. I am tempted to try an even bigger one but once I start one everything else gets left as I can't tear myself away!
