Does Pineapple Belong on Pizza ?
Other
Straight forward question that i know will cause a debate . Does pineapple belong on a pizza , for me absolutely. But i want your answers below
They say pineapple isn’t supposed to be on a pizza because it’s fruit. But what about the tomato sauce?
Bobslaroony Good logical argument there. You wouldn't put raspberries on a pizza though... or would you, hmmmm?
No thanks. I don’t really eat pineapple much anyway, so to have it on something I prefer savoury, no thanks
It isn't unusual to have sweet and savoury together, pork and apple sauce, Turkey and cranberry, cheese and grapes etc. I like all of them and Hawaiian is my favourite pizza.
I love pineapple, but I don't like it when its warm, so I don't like it on my pizza, but I have no objections to others eating it on pizza.
I've never tried pineapple on a pizza but I would think it would work. Love it in curries and with gammon so why not
Nope, it’s such a bizarre combination. Pineapple on food is strange in my opinion but each to their own
Noo but then again that's just me .. if someone else loves it than who I am to frown upon it .. enjoy it my friends
If you want pineapple on a pizza then put on a pizza but personally I think hot pineapple is rank
You're so right, Stevo1283. Pineapple was made for pizza. I completely agree with Ann1984 too. Ham and mushrooms with pineapple is on a whole other level. Now you two are making me hungry...
No, absolutely not. Ask my other half's Italian relatives. They cringed at the thought when asked while looking at a pizza menu for their local takeaway (with about 50 choices on it, none with pineapple). It's a crap American import.
I don't mind it though
I think there are two arguments here. Do you like it? Subjective. Should it be allowed? No.
Oh yes indeed it does belong on a pizza. I have always liked it. Tastes amazing. Had it only yesterday. Even the kids love it too
