I own both so it is hard to choose. I grew up with cats so have always had cats in my home, I find them very calming and loving. I have had dogs for the past 14years and they do become a real friend and also help me get out to exercise.

At the end of the day. I thought I’d post this chat to have something fun and uplifting also hoping it would take people’s mind of coronavirus. But unfortunatly it’s turned into a disagreement. the last time this topic got posted was months ago, peoples opinions change.

Yes I suppose if you don't like the topic you can just scroll past it . As you sadly have to do with 90% + of the so called "deals" on the site posted solely to gain points with no pretence that they could be remotely be considered a "deal" .

Love dogs but I'm more of a cat person myself to be honest. If I had a large house I might think differently.

What breed of dog would you choose? I have got a Labrador and she is the most wonderful, beautiful dog.

Hi guys 🙂

I've removed some of the off topic comments.

If anyone feels a topic is a duplicate of an existing one please do report it so that we can investigate rather than commenting in the topic.

We welcome all discussions on LD and, especially with newer members or people not familiar with chat, it can be easy to accidentally post a topic that's been discussed before recently.

I appreciate for longstanding members this can be frustrating when it happens regularly but it is more often than not a different member posting rather than a repeat offender.

I feel this is ultimately an issue with LD we need to improve - we need to make it clearer and easier to check if a topic has already been discussed recently rather than the fault of any individual member.

Hope that makes sense but any questions please drop us a message via the contact form (you can ask it to be forwarded to me if you want) rather than continuing the discussion in this topic.

And re: Dogs or Cats - I'm a dog person but have two cats! 🤷‍♂️

Are your cats a certain breed. I have two british black short haired and a calico which is a small breed, she is two years old but so tiny.

Kelsey What is the point? The chat guidelines clearly state the repeated topic will be removed not the original and clearly puts the onus on the poster to see if the topic has been posted before - that is so easy to do. I fail to see why you say it should be made easier.

Chat guidelines: "Make sure it's not a duplicate: Please keep new topics original. Your post will be removed if the topic has been posted before. Have a search before you create something and check that there isn’t already a topic discussing what you want to talk about. If we find a similar existing topic then we’ll remove the duplicate or merge the two." FROM https://www.latestdeals.co.uk/chat-guidelines

I’ve had both and it definitely depends on your personality.. I personally prefer dogs because they require and show more love and affection, but cats are great for the independence and being quiet...
