Baked potatoes with beans. Can be done in the airfryer, cheap to buy and filling.

MrsCraig you've got my vote except I always opt for lashings of butter and cheese or if splashing out tuna mayo😋

Home made soup and some short life reduced bread perhaps from the nearby coop. Also for a drink I like some cheap lager/bitter (about £1.10 for 4 cans) with a cheap 25p 2ltr bottle of diet lemonade. I don't have much beer in it so it's probably only about 12p a pint but really enjoy it. I prefer drinking it quickly while its still got a nice frothy head on it.

I also enjoy sardines on toast on occasion.

UK style carbonara.

Cook some pasta, add some made up packet cheese sauce and some crappy cheapo ham.

Job done.

I enjoy spaghetti bolognaise, jacket potatoes, beans and cheese on toast but my favourite at the moment is sausages with leek gratin or pappadums loaded with mango chutney, onion, carrot and cucumber

Mine would have to be homemade soup, cheap, healthy and quite a few servings to be had.

I like to do a sausage oven bake with loads of veg, pretty easy to do and you can just leave it in the oven for like 50 minutes and it’s ready

Can't believe no one has mentioned sausage and mash. 6 sausages £2.50 for posh ones or £1.50 for middle of the road. Potatoes, 4 for £1 or less. Gravy granules, peas, one fried onion - say £1 for a portion big enough. Looking at less than a fiver to feed three people. Bonus points if you have some leftover beef or chicken fat to add to the gravy
