A study shows that walking at least 4,000 steps a day cuts down your risk of health issues.
Do you use your Fitness Tracker for anything else? Or just counting steps?

Yes I do I have just started using one to track my steps to see if it will encourage me to start walking more and its worked so far been walking for 4 weeks now I always walked a lot but when covid came I stopped so been wanting to get back into it
SamGoodship I try and do 10.000 steps a day but always do more at weekend I have did 15.000 today as I have started to go a walk after work
I use the cash walk app and you get vouchers for walking I have been doing it a few weeks
I used to use my Apple Watch a lot to monitor my steps but I now use paid walking apps and always hit 10,000 steps a day. Yesterday I managed 15,000.
eyeballkerry Which apps do you use? I could do with looking at some! I use Biscuit for when I walk my dog.
eyeballkerry out of curiosity, why did you switch from the watch? I've been wanting to invest in a smart watch for this but not sure if it's worth it
eureka I still use my watch daily but that is mainly for the many emails I receive so I don’t need to keep getting my phone out. As for the tracker I stopped using it and like I say I get paid on other apps. I like to see my heart rate every now again on the watch. That sometimes freaks people out as it can go quite high!
I have an Apple Watch which seems to keep a good eye on most of my health & Fitness issues.
SamGoodship Numerous things.
I have it setup so it will alert me If I have an unusually high or low heartrate.
It also tracks my sleep.
And trends that accrue from workouts like walks.
I have a tomtom running watch, it records my running accurately. Love it, I'm treating myself to a garmin watch soon, always wanted one my phone does record my daily steps, it's crazy how quick they add up even doing chores around the house x
I did and I broke it less than a week and it was my own fault I really enjoyed it for the few days o had with it. It monitored heart rate too and was an overall good source of motivation. Will wait for a deal to buy a new one.
Yes. I just bought a second hand one off Vinted and bought new straps for it as my current ones display started to fade. Very happy with it and the added bonus of being able to use my card on my watch to pay if ever needed.
I bought a fitness tracker but I’m using it more as just a watch now. It’s not compatible with walking apps for cash, so I still need to carry my phone around with me. But it’s good to quickly see if I’ve hit my target.
I bought a different heart monitor which I strap to my chest for workouts with an app called Fiit. It’s really encouraging me to workout harder as it counts my reps and I can see the performance of other users to compare myself to.
I use mine more like a watch and tend to use my phone more if I want to track a particular walk.
I've had a Fitness Tracker for a good few years now. I try do do at 10,000 steps per day. It monitors my pulse, heart rate, my exercise schedule & sleep this is all recorded on my phone which makes it easy to check daily, weekly and monthly. I also have it to reminds me when to drink water. If anyone is thinking of getting one of the many Fitness Trainers there is I would highly recommend getting one. It can improve you health.
