Forced Hugging
News
I know that there's a lot of people who are not very huggy people, and to demand it at a workplace is a bit much (hence today's news) https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-46417578
But I guess it really is goodbye to people showing affection towards each other?
I'm cool with everyone who wants a handshake but a hug? That's going a bit too far and it's more of a personal thing than to hug everyone you know and don't know. My main issue with hugging strangers would be if they haven't took a bath and then their scent would make me feel somewhat unwell.
Then again, now I wonder if it's a full-hug or a semi-hug, not that it matters.
I have never had issues with handshakes, but there are some cultures where a man is never to shake the hand of a woman - and I've had colleagues in the past who have been very offended by this. So I guess to ensure that no one gets offended, personal contact of all forms are not permitted
lol not sure how you could decipher between a full or semi hug - then you'd also have to factor in how long the hug is as well
