Where Should I Dispose of Grapes Stems?
Ask a Question
I was just thinking can they be thrown away in brown bins with twigs?
I usually throw in kitchen bin with food waste that goes in black bins
Yes I'd assume so, as it part of a plant, I couldn't see why not.
Accepted in Food waste or Garden waste I'd imagine.
I know that garden waste varies as some counties allow vegetarian animal waste (soiled rabbit, guinea pig waste) but not those that eat meat like hamsters and cats etc. But others do not allow anything other than plants. Soil is often NOT allowed.
SaveMeSunday I think can throw away in either brown bin or with usual food waste in black bin too
As it is part of the fruit I am eating and for convenience I put it in the food bin, but never thought about it. But actually it is part of a plant and should go in the garden bin.
eyeballkerry Yeah I was washing some grapes like I usually do just throw away in kitchen bin which goes in black bins
It just suddenly hit me lol that the stem could be thrown away in brown bin haha whoops only thought about it now!!
We compost ours at home, but surely its OK in either as it is a plant and food that will rot down.
Midnightflower Yeah can throw away in either bin I think
No idea why I only thought that it can be thrown away in brown bin haha
I always put this in food bin, like other people that have commented I never thought about it
