kitty88uk I like a dry heat, but not a fan of humid heat. This heatwave started off OK but is becoming more humid now.

RegularComper90 I agree it’s like it’s getting hard to breathe especially at night the humidity is so bad that I cannot sleep 😴 and when I do and morning comes I’m all sweaty πŸ₯΅

I absolutely love this weather as it helps with my psoriasis. I really need sun all year round so once our summer is over I go travelling abroad to get more sun.

kitty88uk As it really benefits my health I don’t see it as over the top. We have two cruises book at the moment, hoping to get to Malta next week for my daughters birthday but flights are so expensive at the moment and then in the future hoping to move abroad

eyeballkerry ...I feel your pain,I had Psoriasis in 2019 after having a Virus just before going to Portugal for the first time. I then came out in Psoriasis in Portugal, couldn't get a Dr Appointment at my Surgery so had to go to a hub,the night I came home, tried a few Chemist's to get my prescription, couldn't get the Cream til following day!

It was the first outbreak of Psoriasis in seventeen years since giving birth to my daughter, who should have been born yesterday 25 years ago but came 9 days late!

When I get Psoriasis I an covered head to toe & it is soooo uncomfortable..

My Niece turned 23 in August, my daughter & I visited her,she was upstairs at her parents home, didn't want to go out as she was covered in Psoriasis,so sat in her bedroom playing music with her bf.It was the first time she had got it,her Dad is my younger brother,he & I have suffered for years with Psoriasis.

I told my Niece it will stop itching & fade, sent her a photo of my back covered in this curse with the words..

SKINS CAN ONLY GET BETTER!!

Our older sister was diagnosed with Rhuamatiod Arthritis on July 22nd 2009 & the first thing the Consultant asked her was if she had any siblings who have Psoriasis because it's connected, she told him yes my sister & brother, her late son had it his sister has it too if I'm correct, our cousin has the Arthritis that comes with her Psoriasis, had it since she was a child..

Good luck, I hope you find comfort in the sun.. x 🌞

I enjoy the heat if I can stay at home where i'm able to freely slob about, lots of drinks and cool down when I need to. Don't like the heat at night though, even with my fan on.

HEDGEHOGS I don’t think having them tan on will help cause it’s too humid and you are just circulating the heat back and forth!

Best to open windows for fresh air to flow into the rooms

kitty88uk The problem is that the house that I live in now is quite near a road and I can't have the windows open to sleep as i'd hear the traffic and I like total quiet. Yes the ceiling fan tends to circulate the warm air but it's better than having no fan on at all. πŸ˜€

Don't mind the heat but got to be careful with my skin as been treated with melanoma in the past. Usually stay inside or in the shade, wearing factor 50. Keep covered as much as possible and staying hydrated.

kitty88uk you're doing well with those measures ☺️ you can draw curtains together when the sun is at the highest points 11-3pm. You can use one of those ice packs used for sprains, on your head.

I hate this heat as I really cant cope with it at all. Luckily we finallt got our window replaced last week so at least I can now open the window in the room I sleep in! Helps a little bit - but when the air outside is hotter than indoors it is less help!

Jerseydrew Omg 😱 that’s Damn awful!! Stupid really! The heat and humidity isn’t going anywhere plus with the sun shining bright even more hot πŸ₯΅

Why have glass in the first place?! Ridiculous! Needs windows for fresh air same for toilets at shops like John Lewis and M&S etc

kitty88uk architectures that's why. They come up with these wonderful ideas cos it looks pretty but in reality they are unpractical. Oh is a carpenter and hates working with architectures cos they have these ideas that don't worgk and cause him all sorts of problems and the builders get the blame when it's done and then you get problems like this

Lynibis crazy 😜 how I read online is to keep windows close d and draw curtains lol but great if it works!

Yeah it’s brutal at nights!

Temperatures rises upwards so upstairs is much hotter with the humidity

I open windows wide and leave a gap between curtains to let fresh air flow in

Caught part of a programme last night saying that the hottest September day on record was in 1906 when it hit 35Β°. A few days later elsewhere it was 32.5Β°

There was also a programme on about the heatwave in 1976 and I remember it well as it was the year my son was born.

I get dizzy πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’« too headaches can last for a week or so for me hate them

Take pain medicine and I started using cool and soothe forehead strips! Was saving for headaches but decided to use them last night and day before it helps to cool you down! Says so on the back for summer season! And can put on back of neck too! Works up to 8 hours cooling you down in this heat! I recommend you get some! Hope these information tips help!

I know if sounds a bit drastic but I have resorted on occasion to wearing a wet t-shirt to keep my torso cool. The initial shock for a few seconds is well rewarded by feeling cool until it dries. Doubt we need any keep cool tips now the heatwave is over.
