I’ve started looking but don’t long haul flying. In fact I dislike spending hours at an airport so it’s cruising now.

I'm trying to arrange a little break in the UK for my mum's birthday, nothing crazy just week way together towards the end of the year.

At the end of the day , like anything , you have to keep your eye on the prices on a daily basis . Holiday prices will get cheaper as the date approaches - no external factors to influence that this year .

All sensible folk will be well aware of that , just keep checking the latest deals from Travel companies and decide whether it is affordable .

Haven't been on holiday for almost 5 years. Very much doubt we will be doing one this year. We would go to visit family in Northern Ireland if we were to go.

Visited Northern Ireland last year to see partner's family, went to Carrickfergus for the first time & it was beautiful, had a Castle there , friendly people, place so clean, award winning toilets, NO parking charges like England clobber tourists for either!!

Carrickfergus is where the Churchill tank was made & there is one displayed near the memoral gardens....

We've had a bad year health wise so decided we would have a little break about September time but not too sure where yet.

I have just got back from a month in Australia so my answer is yes, I can afford to go away this year. I make sure I have enough for holidays and forego other things. Thinking about my next trip now either Italy, Lanzarote or a cruise. I am off end of next week to Stratford-upon-Avon and Telford, anyone got any ideas where I can visit once there?

I have an experience day voucher to use for Blenheim palace so end of May will visit sister (who lives nearer to Oxford) and spend a couple of nights with her and day trip to the venue, which includes lunch. Any other holiday will have to be a comp win lol.

I’m off to Gran Canaria in May as EasyJet still had my money from a 2020 holiday that was cancelled. Really looking forward to going back 🏝️☀️

Gromit22 I’ve heard that lots still haven’t had full refunds due to the pandemic but loved the story this week of bailiffs going to an airport.

I loved visiting New York, yes it was my first flight longer than 3 hours but they served fab meals and you had a tv where you could listen to music and watch tv shows and films. I ended up watching a couple of harry potter films. I really enjoyed the holiday just didn't like all the fake monks and people trying to sell you stuff and get pictures with you at times square.

I would go to Australia but with the pandemic and 2 long flights, I'll wait a few more years 😃

Just booked a midweek break in June to Butlins. Cheap and cheerful.

My fiancé and I haven’t been since we were kids, so it’s nostalgic for us. Hopefully our young daughter will have amazing time as the entertainment will be geared towards her.

Will be travelling to Spain in May for joint birthday celebrations and in July to bring my sister home for a summer break with local Spanish temperatures in 40s by late mornings. To hot for the crazy canines and yours truly🇬🇧

Malta. I went there many, many years ago and it was dirt cheap - buses, cafes, tourist attractions and everyone was friendly.
