Home Made Chips - Anyone Have an Easy Recipe?
Ask a Question
Hi there, I was wondering whether any one had a simple easy recipe for home made chips that is good value to make too?
Go to the local Asian store and get the big potato pack.. you will need to choose the right potatoes, some of them is not good for frying. And u can chop them, best to get a mandolin, which can make the small fries and than u can buy ready potato spice from the supermarkets or spice it how u like it.
Basically yes, that taste as good as the chip shop but without the price tag. I don't seem to have mastered them yet
What do you mean by that?
Get some cheap potatoes and use sunflower oil, or vegatable oil then fry.
SaverDeals mmmm…. well all the advice I can give you is..
don't keep the fire over heated or too low, maybe you don't fry it long enough that's why it's not fluffy
inside....
Chuck some spice in there and seasoning to add that flavour. Some places fry them and fry them again after 2 minutes cool down
The only thing I would suggest is get the right potatoes, Maris Piper or King Edwards Potatoes work well,
