Hospital Help Button - Long Wait
Other
When you go to the hospital you should take your painkillers with you because even they have emergency buttons there some of them they put you to wait. .
From my experience sometimes you have to ring few times until they come ..
Did you guys ever experienced that in hospital?
thankfully I have never had to spend overnight in hospital and long may that continue. I hope I never have to at all.
I haven't stayed overnight but had a time when I had to stay there for 10 hours. All my needs were met. But there was an elderly lady across from my bed and she wanted help on something and rang the bell a few times but the nurses never came to check on her. My dad had to go and call them to check on her. And even then they took their time to come
It does sometimes make you wonder if the elderly are at the back of the queue when it comes to this sort of thing. I hate to criticise nhs workers but I have heard so many bad stories, always involving elderly patients, and it makes you wonder if they are considered more expendable.
SalmaS....some of the stuff there are rude ...they're like ...ohhhh you still need the painkiller ? I don't know why they put emergency bell there if they don't want to help you
Lynibis Looks like you have to beg for their help or for them to give you painkillers...
Starviewer well with me when they checked my temperature it was really high. The doctor told the nurse to quickly get me a paracetamol. But i get what you mean it gets frustrating
