You should visually check your water bottle before using it, taking it out of the cover, checking for no rips, tears or even tiny gaps.

Also check the flower dial - usually on the outside or inside of the cap, where you fill it up.

As rubber will perish over time, it will be more likely depending on where you keep them and how often you use them etc.

The number on the centre of the wheel is the year it was made. (image shows one from 2019)

The petals indicate the month (image shows June)

The dots inside the petals are which week within the month (image shows 1 dot, indicating the first week)

DeBunny I only found out about this safety feature a few months back. It's good to know, a friend got a serious burnt many years ago when her hot water bottle split.

It's honestly scary to think I probably had the same hot water bottle for my entire childhood and it was filled with boiling hot water 😬

I've never let my kids have them as I was terrified of them getting burnt, either from contact or the bursting.

Hoodies and blankets in my house.
