Have Just Signed up to Utility Warehouse/USwitch, Anyone Else?

Other

I can't tell you how nervous I was about this but Martin Lewis has sung their praises and Ben Fogle is currently an advocate.

By switching to them they take care of all your bills in one place. I have saved £10 on broadband, energy is less and they guarantee 5% less than the cap. My mobile phone was 50p more but is 5gb and limitless calls and texts, currently I have 2gb and 1000 minutes and texts.

You get a card which you load with cash to use for all purchases and earn between 1 and 5% cashback which averages £20 plus per month which lessens bills even more. You can also become a partner and be paid for signing up others.

It seems like a win win, just hope I don't regret it but there is an extra long cooling off period of 30 days.

Would appreciate any thoughts you have.

Howmuch I was so so worried about being scammed etc as I must admit I had never heard of them. However the man who called lives near me and I have his number, email etc. I have now had several emails to set me up and I forgot to mention that they will spend £200 to get you out of any existing contracts, which is good as I only renewed my broadband recently. Energy switch shouldn't be a problem as I think the gov't has said in the current economic climate energy companies must forego a charge for leaving mid contract.

Lynibis I had a look on trustPilot, the overall score looked good, if you dig a little deeper they have a fair few negative reviews. Not a scam company but you might want to check them out.

This sounds interesting. I’m really worried about the cost of living crisis too. I will have a look later this evening. Thank you.

reannsgran I feel it is a good deal and even if I don't save masses of dosh it is more convenient having them all under one umbrella so to speak. He said they save by not spending millions on advertising and they also have regular draws too.

Really pleased it's working for you Lynibis but I'll just add a reminder to everyone that we don't allow referral links or codes here just in case. Thank you

MelissaLee1963 Actually, I have decided not to proceed after a sleepless night wondering if I have done the right thing. Don't like the idea of using a prepayment card etc. Now I am having a nightmare trying to cancel and it is less than 24 hours. Already I have had an email from sky saying sorry to see me go, they certainly get on it quickly!

I have one direct debit monthly for Energy,Broadband and mobile. No prepay card. Cost me less for all than I used to pay for one. No kidding. I use Roku for TV and amazon when a bit flush.

MelissaLee1963 I wasn't given a choice on the prepayment card. You have to load it from your account and use to pay for everything to get the cashback, that then comes off your bills too. I just got cold feet and didn't have anyone to talk it over with. I think it was a case of better the devil you know!

First I heard of UW.

Checked out the website and am definitely interested as it merges multiple bills as one, especially energy! If it's cheaper I'm all in!

Thanks.
