Married at First Sight
Ask a Question
I have to admit it that I'm addicted to this show seen them all this series is shocking is anyone else watching it? And if so what do you think about it
and mine i thoroughly enjoy it hate it when its over then I check the websites to see who are still together.
I'm a sad lady lol x
we love it tho have become quite aware of how much is clearly set up and how many are on there for the fame. i mean why would somone in there twenties need help finding someone to marry??? at least hit ya 30's before you decide you need help with that!
I can't believe these are real marriages. When I was a registrar we had to report marriages that were forced or done for nefarious reasons like excuse to stay in country etc. Arranged marriages were ok as long as both parties were ok with it.
I can't stand programmes like this that go for shock value and use psychology to reel people in, I won't be party to it.
I've seen a few series now, I like how the Australian version lasts a lot longer than some of the older UK series that were only a couple of episodes long. Sadly they seem like people are going into this for fame now or they are picking people that are likely to cause drama. The first few series, they seemed much more genuine.
I hate the way they use the word gaslighting all the time, but that is exactly what the show is full of. I was angry at the women last year for making women out to be horrendous, but the guys aren't doing much for men this year!
Absolutely hate what they did to Jessie, it wasn't the fact they did it (although I don't agree with it) but the fact they made him out to be crazy and question himself, that was not right at all.
PhilipMarc It's on Monday-Thursday evenings on E4 at 7.30pm, it repeats the morning after at 9am I think it is. I believe some series are on Netflix and All4.
I've never watched it, just doesn't appeal to me. I'm not a massive fan of reality programmes and it just doesn't look like my thing.
I’ve been watching the Australian at min. Some seem like great couples and others im wondering what “the experts” were thinking when they matched them
They're not actors but it is scripted. Same with basically all 'reality' TV. Everything is engineered to entertain. Not saying there's anything wrong with that, Top Gear, for example, was scripted but I still found it enjoyable. It is pretty mindless, though, not my cup of tea.
