Miele C3 Complete Bags

Ask a Question

Has anyone used non-genuine Miele vacuum bags and can recommend a supplier? I've been using the cheapest on eBay, they seem to blow up inside blocking everything up! thanks

There are many cyclonic vacuum cleaners many highly rated that do not require bags. Seems environmentally and financially wasteful to keep buying bags. The Shark cleaners are highly rated although admittedly pretty hideous as vacuum cleaners go. I think even Miele are doing bagless cleaners now. Just seems like very outdated technology and with lower wattage motors it seems you get even less suction power as the bags fill up and restrict suction power.

i had a bagless before, it would have all sorts of issues especially with suction. Bagged for whatever reason has been trouble free until i stopped using oem bags.

Will be looking at a bagless miele whenever this one dies

Fuar It's a fair point, previously with cyclonic vacuums the filters would need regular cleaning although this was quick and easy to do but some of the more modern versions are better at keeping the filters clean. In contrast with bagged vacuums the bags are effectively one stage of filtering so you never have to clean them as you just dump the bag once filled. I just remember someone stating they paid about £8 every 4 months for a new pack of bags, that is £24 a year or £240 over maybe the 10 year lifespan of the vacuum. It's like people who use disposable batteries for high current devices over a few years they may have spent many hundreds of pounds on such batteries. Average household uk debt is about £10k excluding mortgages which often has built up over many years, decades sometimes. Some people could have been debt free just by making sensible purchase choices over the long term.

There is some good statistics here;

Looks like the average person pays about £1k of interest per year but not sure if that includes mortgages probably not.

We have one of the older Miele C3 Cat & Dog with a 1200w motor and it's great. I would only consider buying genuine bags tbh.
