Money Saving Swaps
Money Saving
For example my two boys love Doritos. They would eat them all day if they were allowed. Ages ago I tried them on the incredibly plain Lidl basic nachos which are less that 50p (I think off the top off my head). They love them! As they are plain they eat much less so the large bag lasts for a while. And we then do have Doritos for a rare treat and only when a bag is say £1 (as they are currently in Co-op). I find they eat much more of the flavoured ones as they are so moreish, and of course I end up joining in with them... yum.
Do you have any money saving swaps that avoid the need for a deal?
They don't have BOGOF deals at Aldi - I don't like any shops that do have them on perishables what's wrong with HALF PRICE! Then if I want two I'll buy two.
BOGOF offers always deterred me from buying even one - they are one of the biggest causes of food waste.
If by chance you meant "Tortilla Chips" from Aldi (triangular in shape) I came across them about 8 weeks ago - I get a packet every week. They're actually 46p and really good value.
jmsonl I've just had some - but left the rest of the packet out of reach. If you haven't tried them dipped in Aldi's reduced fat soft cheese (with or without Garlic and Herbs). 49p - you haven't lived yet.
