Nail Gel Polishes are Triggering Life-Long Allergies

In the News

Now we have another product that millions are using that the experts are warning is causing life threatening allergies, gel nail polishes

Chemicals such as methacrylates, can seep into the skin and cause allergic reactions .

Some of the problems can range from the nails loosening or falling off, severe rashes on the face, the neck, the upper chest.

Also some can have trouble breathing and asthma can be made worse

Even more frightening is people can become sensitive to acrylates in other things, which can have implications in dentistry or if they’re diabetic or for orthopaedic surgery, and it’s a life-long sensitisation

It makes you wonder what foods and products ARE actually safe to use ?

Is it the products making us more sensitive to allergies or are we just becoming more sensitive to products regardless ?

Who knows what they put in food and make up these days.I'm all for keeping things simple.I hate long painted nails. They are so impractical.I cut mine short and everyone thinks I bite em cos I don't spend ages having em trimmed and polished.
