Non-Essential Businesses Going to Have to Shut Xmas Eve (Wales)
In the News
Well, this is a killer for us.
Non essential businesses have to close
My wife has tried so hard on this, but it's going to go moobs up. I just hope that the landlord of the shop will be understanding so that he'll let us close the contract early.
I wish everyone with businesses that are going through a really crappy time all the best.
BBC News - Covid: Boxing Day sales off in Wales ahead of lockdown on 28 December
I'm afraid this is the flip side of allowing people extra "freedoms" over the Christmas period .
We all know that the infection rate is going to go through the roof after Christmas unless people are really sensible and responsible (Fat chance !!!) .
Not in your position and not a fan of Mark Drakeford but I do agree with this proactive approach . To often the measures brought in have been reactive , by which time it is already too late .
I would think there is lots of advice out there as literally hundreds of thousands of small businesses have been dealt similar blows over the last 9 months . Best of Luck !
Guess "essential" for them is allow beer, but forbid people to buy clothes and books. As they've done in other parts.
What I don't get is why we still have different rules for the 4 nations. You would think that with brexit ***** around the corner they would unite the nations and have same rules across the board
Sadly even in the midst of a crisis it's still political . Totally irresponsible to have different rules . To be fair I haven't a clue which are the "best" or most "effective " rules but the Tories make the rules for England , the SNP for Scotland , the Labour run Welsh Assembly for Wales and a coalition for Northern Ireland .
Not a political point , it just that they feel they have to do things differently , succeeding only in adding to the confusion felt by many .
Golfforall The confusion is too have different rules. They should have the same across the board
All I know that is my wife's business is going down.
