Tesco Shoppers Rage After Long Queues for Christmas Delivery Slots
- Tesco's Christmas delivery slots went live at 6am for Delivery Pass members
- Frustrated customers report hours-long online queues and system crashes
- Many are comparing the struggle to securing tickets for major concerts
Tesco shoppers are fuming after facing massive online queues to book coveted Christmas delivery slots. The slots, which opened at 6am for those with a paid delivery or click-and-collect pass, have been described as “harder to get than Oasis tickets.” Social media is ablaze with frustrated customers sharing tales of hours-long waits, system glitches, and failed payments.
One exasperated shopper vented on X: “It was easier and quicker getting Oasis tickets than it was a Tesco Xmas home delivery slot.” Another added: “Been queuing since 6am, only to be kicked out of the system. At 6:02, I managed to book a Dec 23 slot with Asda in minutes.”
With only Delivery Pass members currently able to access the booking system, tensions are high, especially for those who’ve paid for the service but still struggle to secure a slot. One long-time customer expressed disappointment: “I've had a delivery saver for over 13 years. For the past two years, I've been unable to get a Christmas delivery slot. It’s like getting Beyoncé tickets!”
Tom Church, Co-Founder of LatestDeals.co.uk, commented: “The demand for Christmas delivery slots is always intense, but this year it seems shoppers are feeling the stress more than ever. Tesco may need to reassess their system to accommodate loyal customers better."
