Do You Think There Should Be A 6 Month Time Limit So People Can Re-Post?

Ask a Question

I often struggle to find Comps to post, even if I originally posted from that brand, as I'm not quick enough, so some days I just give up now, I have literally wasted hours some days in the past but now I'm not that daft 😉 however, today I kept checking 'in between' , it was the usual story made worse by only being able to post 1 click comp from 1 magazine, although I believe some are trying to cheat that by changing the heading and picture, I did find a couple of Newsletter ones I tried to post, win prizes for signing up, but they had already been posted and long dated, one was posted 8 months ago and would be lost in the system yet I'm not allowed to re-post it, do you think there ought to be a time limit, like maybe 6 months because it seems to me that it can never be posted again which is a waste!?

I also spend time trying to post comps only to get the whoops message. I give up after 3 or 4. Someone is saving LD a lot of points!

I guess if you are an avid comper you will enter the comps pretty much as they are posted, so no point in reposting. Unlike deals which can easily be missed.

Don't know about you Jo but I have my settings to flag 'entered' and then they disappear as soon as I refresh the page. I never have more than one page of comps on the go, easy for me as I don't do the social media ones.

A re-post would work for me though because even though I love entering comps, I miss loads and loads and some are the 'good' ones. I got disheartened by that 'whoops' message when I tried to post comps.

BORDERJOE I must admit I am quite organised. As I said I only do 'website only' as I don't do social media, that cuts them down drastically. I then quickly mark as entered (do you know about the menu on the 3 dots?) all the comps I don't want to win, like horse riding stuff, diving gear etc. I then refresh and they all disappear.

I am definitely not disagreeing with you and Jo but I would get confused with repeats and not remember whether I have entered or not. It would take far too long to check all my entered ones. I also think it would mess up the whoops message even with a time limit.

Lynibis No I don't do Social Media either Lyn, apart from not trusting it, it's far too over subscribed!!

With the Newsletter ones though it would tell you if you were already signed up when you tried to subscribe so I don't see a problem there!

I loved the fairy picture that time, I just couldn't comment! 😍 x

JoTarpley yeh, I was a bit ticked off at our chat being shut down mid conversation. When a chat moves on and is pleasant no reason to lock down! Can you remind me of your topic with the making craft things etc as I will return to it with pic when me and the fairies are done. BORDERJOE will understand too!

I gave up posting comps because they were already posted. I managed one and got my badge but now have to admit to not doing it at all. I tried quite a few posts for 'freebies' but they were all 'disallowed' so I gave up on those too. I can be quite persistent at most things so it's not like I give up easily. As for the time limit suggestion-well, I think it'd definitely work for me. I spend a limited time on here daily and then come back when/if I get chance - that means that I do miss a lot of comps and am often playing catch up just before they end. A re-post would be good in my case.

Replying to your post on the closed Chat BORDERJOE , downloads aren't allowed and you would have to download and print your patterns but don't give up posting, you'll get there!! xx 😁

Yes! I would like it with deals as well as it really annoys me when I look to see if a deal is already posted and it was 2 years ago 🤦🏻‍♀️ but at the same time I find it interesting that shops are still offering the same deal as 2 years ago!
