Cats also provide huge benefits they often help people calm down and relax more than dogs but dogs have the benefit of getting their owners outside to exercise with regard walks. Both are hugely positive compared to not owning pets though.
I agree B, i think it is beneficial to own any pet , it is personal preference if it is a cat or dog
I think any pet can do this it's all about having that connection with them me I've had ducks, cockatiel, budgies and dogs they have all made me happy
Dog’s are great at relieving stress but surely can’t stop any disability In my humble opinion.

Funny enough, my sister was just saying the same, after a lifetime of saying No to a dog, she now dog sits for her daughter's dog and says it makes her more active taking it for walks and the dog is always pleased to see her. She was raving about it, but not for me. I don't want to pick up poo
Its not too bad B is you feed dry food , it tends to come out solid and quite dry providing the dog doesn't have an upset stomach

My little dog passed away a couple of weeks ago. Devastated. I am disabled and really helped me to be active. He was a joy and life is pretty sad at the moment. I think everyone should have a pet.
