Piers Morgan Chat Show Ratings Plummet . Do You Love Him or Loathe Him??
Ask a Question
So a bit like marmite Piers Morgan is loved or loathed which camp are you in ?
The former Good Morning Britain host has anchored his divisive new show - Piers Morgan: Uncensored - since TalkTV launched on April 25 this year., but viewers are falling
The first episode saw 316,800 viewers tune in for the explosive pre-recorded conversation but that figure slipped to an average of 61,700 seven days later (Monday May 2).
What are your thoughts on Piers divisive interview style
He is opinionated and egotistical. His career thrives on publicity from his controversial attitudes and he knows that. Hence the worthless drivel he spouts wherever he goes.
I think he can take as much as he gives so although I seldom if ever agree with what he says I'm all from free speech and opening up on controversial subjects ..better than cancel culture anyday!
MelissaLee1963 i do think that he can give and take it I did agree with some things he said and then winced at others
Aenurse1 We don't want Yes men in journalism and media we need someone to fire flames and spark conversation. If it makes yer wince it makes yer think lol.
MelissaLee1963 lol he couldn't take what he gives when he walked off the gmb set when Alex Beresford answered back, such a childish tantrum.
Is he still in a huff when the weather man called him out and he stormed off? His obsession with Megan Markle is next level yet didn't get as annoyed with Andrew.
I don't have a TV license so can only watch catchup services, streaming etc and I'm not sure this is available on those services typically, these sort of shows are not on streaming because they are current affairs type programs. What I have seen of him I don't find that watchable or similar format programs with other presenters. It's just not my cup of tea at all.
If he is starting to annoy too many viewers I'm sure he will start to tone it down a bit or maybe the subject matter is boring and change direction a bit. When there is a new channel a lot of people will tune in to see it but they may not continue and this is often presented as failure but I would say this is normal. Viewers will likely climb over time.
I keep on forgetting to tune in to see what all the fuss is about especially as I read the sun newspapers 7 days per week advertising his show on non stop.
I don’t mind him, but he obviously plays up to his pantomime baddie persona, which is off-putting. Can’t say he makes a difference to my life, but I prefer him over a lot of other people that is in his profession
He is like marmite, love or hate him. I like watching him and i must admit he does do his research which I admire. So many journalists only get the basic facts and then haven’t got a leg to stand on in an argument
Sometimes quite like Piers spotting off and being self opinionated , sometimes not , overall I believe its just part of his act for TV, genuinely don't think he's like that in normal everyday life.
