Refurbished Ninja Airfryer
Ask a Question
Strange why are so many Ninja-Airfryers posted on sites , does this mean they break down often this has stopped me from buying one nearly each Day a new Refurb product is posted please rest my worried brow
TheDoog You should also add that are posted at ridiculous prices with brand new unit RRP for refurbished one. Very often new units are £10 or £20 more than refurbished items posted.
I do own a ninja max AF451UK and rarely use standard oven. Great product. You can easily make a dinner for a family of four if you want to and a 2kg whole chicken can go inside or 1.4kg of chips.
A lot are just people changing their minds like Amazon Warehouse things so they are basically new but open box but still come with the guarantee. People like a bargain. I recently bought an open box Hive heating controller for £100 instead of £170 and was basically brand new still stickers on it. some people also don’t realise the limitations of what you can cook in them so get a bigger one. Personally, I would never have an air fryer as take up too much room on the work surface and my kids like things cooked separate but a lot of people rave about them. If they do break or fault, you still have the warranty so it’s not like you miss out on that.
I see you post them quite often too….
emmabeckz The main downside of refurbished unit is limited warranty.
You may think you got a deal on that hive but it's only £108 on their website if we are talking about same product.
www.hivehome.com/shop/smart-heating/hive-thermostat - £119.99 on official website plus extra 10% off when you subscribe to Hive Heating Plus. £108 brand new vs refurbished.
Additionally please stop removing my comments, if you don't mind.
SebK84 No it was the one with the hub which has RRP of £179 and is an additional £60 on their website. I got it for £103.91 and you register with Hive so get the same warranty anyway.

Don't worry, I do my research thank you!

Air fryers have become so affordable customers probably decided to return and get a cheaper one.
Ninja is the same company as Shark which is basically an American company which works with Chinese manufacturers but modifies their designs to have an exclusive product. Ultimately its still the same quality as that Chinese manufacturer typically makes its just Shark/Ninja have re-designed it so they can charge much more for it. It's quite a clever way of selling a low cost generic product at a high markup. You sort of wonder if they are less reliable than the regular product the Chinese manufacturer makes as that product is likely made in far larger numbers due to being a cheaper product at retail so there is more information about failures and more evolution of the design plus the manufacturer will be directly responsible for faulty models. Legally Ninja is the manufacturer even though in reality they just request some design changes and then import that modified model.
