Is Society Too Sensitive?

News

With people needing trigger words etc etc. People complaining, crying about things that dont seem offensive at all are all over the papers, news and online. Davis Beckham kissing his daughter for example "people are outraged" but i havent met a single person who has an issue. Are people too sensitive or is it fake news?

It is a worrying trend. It does seem like an increasing amount of people are getting offended by the most ridiculous things. The problem is made worse by the media and businesses apologizing for every perceived slight rather than defending their position. A few thousand overzealous people on Twitter, Facebook, etc should not be dictating how everyone else should feel or act.

Yes we're becoming more politically correct, family values are on the decline... Society is breaking apart in so many ways, I am worried about our future and our kids...

Today's kids can only dream of of what it was to be a child in the 70's, 80's and 90's because their generations are pretty much materialized and the fun's ruined that once existed. I mean, it still exists obviously (in small villages/cities and places not obsessed with technology) but most locales are what it is.

yes, too much so, but usually individuals voice their 'sensitivity' to get something out of it - whether that be attention or compensation

It's not 'fake news' it's just how people are nowadays, overly sensitive to everything and anything, can't say anything before being called a buzzword and so on.

In addition to this Generation Snowflake censorship, the EU is yet again banning something else. The EU is banning criticism on mass migration so if you decide to speak against it, then it'll be considered a hate crime and you could face being arrested. No one is really aware of this since it hasn't made the news widely so chances are they'll get their way as they normally do.

The EU also banned memes which means, copyright material (Article 13) will be blocked in Europe's EU Zone. Get ready to see more of this:

And YouTube is going to have to block millions of videos due to these circumstances, too.

EU's banning a lot of stuff, and before you know, you'll have no rights left. I'm pondering on leaving to a non-EU country in Europe or even an entirely different continent because this is insane.
