Thieves Move Holes on Golf Courses to Steal Valuables from the Players

It is so hard nowadays to keep up with the latest scams, thieves are becoming more and more inventive with ways to steal from people
I have not heard of the latest scam happening here yet but it is happening in Spain
Thieves are targeting exclusive golf courses in Majorca for example and are drilling fake holes and insert flags in secluded spots to detour players where they can rob them easier
How they get away with this is unbelievable
Surely security could keep a watch over the golf course with binoculars , even use a drone
But all they are doing to combat this is to give out leaflets to warn about it
Talk about taking your eye off the ball !

They are making new holes in the turf in a different direction to the course , removing flags from the original holes and putting them in the newly dug holes which are out of sight of anyone so they can steal belongings from the golfers bags in seclusion
You would think they would only be able to do this once but it seems to be a lucrative scam

If they provided a map of the course. A big one on the wall to photograph would suffice this would make it harder. Personally I would be safe I do't play golf. Last time I tried I injured myself
Imnotcheap Same here I, the only time i played many years ago my ball hit a colleagues ankle and he was hopping around the course for the next 10 minutes in pain
Plus i churned up half the course, and this was a prestigious golf club in Cheshire
yes but I was possibly safer with you not there
