The U.K. Want to Invade People's Privacy to stop... Terrorism?

In the News

In 2020/21, they came up with Covid Passports under the pretense it was to keep people safe and healthy, when in reality it was about controlling abd restricting people if they didn't comply.

Now in 2023, they're trying to gain access to people's WhatsApp/Signal messages to fight terrorism? They might as well just admit they don't want the public to have any privacy whatsoever.

If the U.K. politicians and therefore police want to tackle crime, then don't let in boats full of military aged men who they have no idea who they are or what they've done, and don't give them 5* star hotel treatment either.

These last couple of years have felt like Groundhog Day. 😕

My opinions often conflict with yours Philip, but tbh I can see where you're at. The trouble is we live in such a woke world that to criticise anything like migration, reparation for slavery or pronouns for dozens of different genders is to invite hostility and aggression toward yourself. No one wants to publicly be seen as anti woke.

So many voices calling for compassion and virtue signalling and they have become blinded to the fact that we are killing our own culture, well being and literally our lives when the situation implodes, as it inevitably will. I would love to give all who need a new life the help they require, but as you rightly say the vast majority of those boats contain young, single males. I would like to know do they feel proud of leaving their sisters, mothers, wives etc behind to look out for themselves? Most are not in fear of their lives so should not be risking them on small boats across the channel. We should only be accepting those who are fleeing persecution, torture or death. Not those who are too selfish to remain in their own countries and fight for better futures. I must stop as I could write about the woes of the world all day.
